Pros of Visiting Dubai in July

  • You will experience fewer crowds as many tourists avoid the Dubai summer heat, and most residents return to their countries for the summer break.
  • Hotels and flights are a bit cheaper than later in the year.
  • With hotels being cheaper, this could be your time to stay at an accommodation in some of the luxurious areas, such as Dubai Marina, Downtown, and Jumeirah, which are usually more expensive in the winter months.

Cons of Visiting Dubai in July

  • The heat can get crazy. You’ll rarely see people walking outside during the day.
  • Most seasoned theme parks are closed for the summer break. Parks such as Global Village and The Dubai Safari Park are closed as they prepare to open during the winter period, when crowds are expected to be higher.
  • Not the best time if you are traveling with elderly people or small kids.

As much as the heat is scorching, it does not need to ruin your trip.

The city has a lot of indoor experiences that you can plan to go to. Some of them are:

  • Eid Al Adha: As an Islamic festival, its exact date varies based on the lunar calendar, but it often falls in July. You may see some fireworks and family-friendly festivals.

If you ask us, there is no bad month to visit Dubai. There are a number of publishers who will write about not visiting the Emirate during certain months or periods.


For example, you will hear a lot of chatter about whether visiting Dubai during Ramadan is a good idea. While many might opt not to, there are a lot of great experiences during the Ramadan period.

With that said, July is a great time to visit Dubai. As much as a lot of theme parks are closed, you get to save on cash and get discounts that run through the period.
