A Qatar Airways cabin crew member salary is structured into 3 main parts that include:

  • Basic Salary – This is the guaranteed part. Whether you fly or not, you get your basic salary every month.
  • Flying Pay – This is the amount of money you receive for every hour you fly.
  • Layover Allowance – The allowance includes a meal allowance. The airline covers your hotel during your layover.

How Much is the Qatar Airways Salary for a Cabin Crew?

  • Basic Pay – QAR 3,500 – QAR 4,000 (This is about $1,000 or
  • Flying Pay – QAR 50 per flight hour (On average, you would fly between 90 to 110 hours per month)
  • Layover Allowance – Paid at the end of the month with your basic pay.

The salary is dependant on your designation, that is, are you an economy or business class crew or supervisor.

Deductions to be aware of

There are a couple deductions that you may see on your payslip that you need to consider. They include:

  • Service Bond Recovery – The airline is recovering money it spent on training you for the job.
  • Baggage Deduction – The airline deducts a certain amount every month to pay for the company provided suitcases. Once you pay the total, this deduction is removed from your payslip.
  • Retention Money Deduction – This deduction is made by the airline to ensure you commit to your contract. It may be paid back in lump sum at the end of your contract.

You may have noticed that in the deductions section, there is no mention of tax. That is because income is not taxed in Qatar.
