Equity Bank, in partnership with Al Fardan Exchange, offers a seamless and efficient way to do just that.

You can send money from the comfort of your own home through an app, or you can visit one of Al Fardan Exchange’s 90 branches.

How to Send Money from the UAE to Kenya:

You have two options to initiate your money transfer:

  • Using the Alfapay App:
    • Sign Up: Download the Alfapay app from the Play Store or App Store.
    • KYC: Complete the Know Your Customer (KYC) details on the app.
    • Transfer Details: You will then provide the necessary transfer details and specify how the receiver in Kenya prefers to receive the money (mobile wallet (M-Pesa or Airtel Money) or bank account).
  • Visiting an Al Fardan Exchange Branch:
    • Locate a Branch: Al Fardan Exchange has 90 branches across the UAE. Visit one of the branches, and a staff member will help you process your transaction.

Key Features of the Service:

  • Receiver Options in Kenya: Funds can be received through:
    • Bank accounts: Equity Bank accounts or any other third-party bank accounts in Kenya.
    • Mobile Wallets: Directly to your M-Pesa or Airtel Money wallets.
  • Wide Accessibility for Senders:
    • The Alfapay app offers digital convenience.
    • 90 Al Fardan Exchange branch locations across the UAE.
  • Speed of Delivery:
    • Instant transfers to mobile wallets and Equity Bank accounts.

Charges:

  • Al Fardan Exchange levies a standard service charge of AED 15 for sending any amount to mobile wallets or bank accounts in Kenya.
