Abu Dhabi, UAE – The Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) and Etihad Airways have launched the new Abu Dhabi Pass, a free digital pass that enables visitors to seamlessly access the Emirate’s top attractions and amenities.
The announcement was made at ITB Berlin in Germany, which is the world’s largest tourism trade fair.
The Abu Dhabi Pass is another strategy employed by the Emirate and its flag carrier to attract more tourists to use the airline and visit or pass through Abu Dhabi.

How to Access the Abu Dhabi Pass:
- Passengers using Etihad Airways will receive an email with a link to access the pass via a dedicated website.
- No additional cost or app download is required.
Key Benefits of the Abu Dhabi Pass:
- Internet: One will get a tourist SIM card with 10GB of data.
- Transportation & Tours: Unlimited access to public buses and 24-hour unlimited access to the hop-on-hop-off tourist bus network.
- Cultural Attractions: 15% discounts at premier cultural venues like Qasr Al Watan and Louvre Abu Dhabi.
- Entertainment: One will be entitled to special rates at Yas Island’s entertainment destinations, including Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi, SeaWorld Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, and Yas Waterworld.
- Dining: Access to deals at over 200 restaurants across Abu Dhabi.

The pass builds upon the success of Etihad’s stopover program, which saw a significant increase in visitors from 12,000 in 2023 to 85,000 in 2024. When you book a trip with a stopover in Abu Dhabi, you get a complimentary two-night stay at great hotels.
The airline anticipates welcoming over 130,000 stopover guests in 2025.
The Abu Dhabi Pass supports the emirate’s Tourism Strategy 2030, which aims to attract 39.3 million visitors and contribute AED 90 billion to Abu Dhabi’s GDP by 2030. This initiative is complemented by ongoing infrastructure development, including the new Terminal A at Zayed International Airport, and a growing calendar of cultural and entertainment events.
