In addition to a very competitive salary, Emirates provides quite a clear path for growth within the airline. However, they are very strict in who they hire and how they conduct themselves.

Here’s a closer look at what you can expect when you join the Emirates as a cabin crew:

1. Discounted Travel

One of the best and most exciting benefits of being an Emirates cabin crew member is the discounted travel. You and your family are eligible for heavily discounted flight tickets on Emirates, allowing you to explore the world at a fraction of the usual cost. These discounts are outlined in the Staff Travel Manual and are also extended to other airlines through inter-airline agreements. This means you can access travel benefits across various carriers, broadening your travel opportunities even further.

2. Free Accommodation

Get this. Your salary is not taxed as its personal income and the UAE does not tax personal income. So you take 100% of what is written in your contract.

And if that is not enough, Emirates provides free, fully-furnished housing for its staff. No rent guys!

You will, however, be sharing the apartment’s common areas with two or three colleagues of the same gender.

If you do not get space in their accommodation, they will provide an allowance for you to cover the rent and utility bills.

After completing your probationary period, you can request to move to another apartment if there’s availability. Additionally, Emirates understands the importance of maintaining personal connections. You are allowed to have up to two family members visit and stay in your accommodation twice a year for up to 30 days per visit.

3. Company-Provided Transportation

If you are in an Emirates accommodation or they are the ones catering to your housing, the company offers free transportation to and from the airport, your accommodation, and the Emirates Training College. This is a great perk because it is free, it ensures you are never late to work, and makes it easy to manage your time efficiently. However, if you choose to live outside the accommodation that Emirates provides, then you will not be entitled to company-provided transportation.

4. Annual Leave and Leave Travel

Emirates cabin crew enjoy 30 calendar days of annual leave per year. The best part about this is that you receive a free annual leave ticket to your home country. After three years of service, you can exchange this ticket for any Emirates destination, allowing you to see other parts of the world courtesy of the company.

5. Comprehensive Medical and Insurance Coverage

The airline provides worldwide insurance coverage for its cabin crew, including life insurance and personal accident insurance. Additionally, Emirates offers an extensive medical and dental care package through its designated Emirates Clinics. This coverage is also extended to your spouse and kids.

6. End of Service Benefit (EOSB)

Emirates offers a non-contributory End of Service Benefit (EOSB), which is a lump sum payout based on your salary scale. This benefit is provided upon the successful completion of your contract, giving you added financial security at the end of your tenure.

7. Career Progression

Most people who want to become cabin crew are either very interested in aviation or being a crew member has been a dream. With Emirates, there is a clear path when it comes to moving up the ranks. You will of course start from economy class and you can end up in the highest role, the purser, where you have the overall responsibility of managing the cabin, coordinating between the crew & flight deck, and ensuring customer satisfaction & safety.
